How to be a better medical student and doctor: A talk by Chris Lovejoy
February 25, 2018
Current F1 and Cambridge graduate Chris Lovejoy will be coming to speak to us about all things medicine on the 12th March.
The talk will include refreshments and a dinner afterwards
Chris Lovejoy is an F1 doctor and recent graduate from Cambridge medical school. He has published a book called “The Modern Medical Student Manual” which explores how to succeed at medical school as well as the bigger picture of a career in medicine.
In this talk, Dr Lovejoy will be discussing “conventional” medical school topics such as work-life balance, advice for learning academic and clinical medicine, as well as broader questions, such as increasing positive impact and finding meaningful work.
The content is largely an aggregation of ideas from smart people; from Richard Feynman to Tim Ferriss, and Tim Urban to Cal Newport, as well as medical students in Cambridge and elsewhere who’ve excelled in different domains.
