Call for Medical Students to Volunteer at BGS Annual Meetings 2016-17

The British Geriatrics Society (BGS) is the professional association of doctors practicing geriatric medicine, old age psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurses, therapists, scientists and others with a particular interest in the medical care of older people and in promoting better health in old age.
We are looking for volunteer Medical Students for our annual meetings in 2016-2017, who are interested in or considering a career in Geriatric Medicine to assist in the daily running of the event. The meetings run from Wednesday from 9.00am until Friday 4.30pm. Responsibilities will include packing delegate bags, assisting registration, greeting & directing attendees to key points, providing microphone support during Q & A sessions in presentations.
Benefits includes contact with current Geriatric healthcare professionals, reasonable travel costs & subsistence at the event and certificate of contribution for CV/portfolio.
